Bershad. In the first winter of the occupation, more than half of the ghetto's population died due to a typhus epidemic. In the fall of 1941, there were 25,000 people in it, and in August 1942, about 10,000 remained. 150-200 people died per day. Every day, a cart passed through the streets, taking their bodies to the cemetery.
