Zukornitsa Gersha Galisa and Blumi Barer ghetto of Shargorod.

Zukornitsa from the table service. A set of gifts from 1922 Rotsi na vesillya Gersha Galisa and Blumi Barer. For over a hundred years. There was all the thirst of the Shargorod ghetto, which stood during the entire occupation of this Jewish place, in the city on the sideboard.

On June 22, 1941, the Shargorod place was buried by German troops. The majority of the Jewish population, in addition to those mobilized, did not evacuate. The total number of Jews at the time of the occupation was approximately 1800 people. The place was located near the so-called star. Transnistria, which had submitted to the Rumanians, within an hour the German and Italian armies deprived Shargorod. The skin of the booths is marked with a metal shield with images of a six-pointed star. Important lifestyle, stinginess, severe frosts, lack of sewerage and water supply caused a typhus epidemic in the ghetto in the winter of 1941-42. 27 doctors died, 23 fell ill with typhus, 12 died. There were so many dead that the corpses were buried in a hidden grave.
