On August 9, 2025, the International Day of Indigenous Peoples was celebrated in the square in honor of Noman Chelebidzhikhan. The event was organized by the NGO "Crimean Tatars of Odessa Region".
Among the honored guests was the chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov! His author's stand is in the genocide museum "Territory of Memory", where separate expositions are dedicated to the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people.
