On the 2nd of 2024, the Museum of Genocide “Territory of Memory” opened an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Romani genocide “Poraymos: a forgotten genocide”, authored by the director of the museum Pavlo Kozlenko.
Not just about the thousands of people of Roma nationality who died in the rocks of the Other World War, and about specific people, about their lives, who are aware of who will destroy our friendship between the tragedies and the strength of the Roma people.
For example, it doesn’t deprive Alfreda Markovskaya's share, as during the Second World War, resulted in the death of as many as fifty Jewish and Roman children.
“As the Jewish people live today [...]] that in our land there are still many Poles of Jewish descent still alive; Since they are alive today, and part of them are alive in Poland [...], that is because there were people like you, - the then President of Poland Lech Kaczynski, promoting them to Alfred in his vital word, presenting them with one of the greatest awards Poland - Order of the Great Chrest. - At that time, those who, having fought their lives, were not punished by prison sentences, they were not punished by deportation - those who, having fought their lives, were punished by death, often under torture.”
They were called “Rum’s Irena Sendler,” and she became the first woman, a representative of the Roman nation, who once again received the Commander's Cross from the Order of the Rebirth of Poland, which is another for the significance of the huge city that is awarded Polish Republic for guilty merits.
On the medal, which honors the Righteous Ones of the World, a phrase from the Talmud is written: “He who swears one life, swears the whole world.” So it was then, during the Second World War, so it was in Ukraine, when there was war - now there are people who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the war of other people.
Remember!
