The Odessa Holocaust Research Center, in honor of being the organizer of the screening of the film “White Yangol - the end of Maryanka” together with the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs for the participation of the Donetsk police region - the main characters of the documentary: police major Vasyl Pipi and senior police sergeant Rustam Lukomsky.
Almost all the frames of the film are taken by the main characters, who recorded their work on a camera stretch of spring, summer and autumn 2022 year. What is important is the evacuation of the town’s residents of Mar’yanka, the wounded and the dead.
“In this story we are most of the simple people, the most important policemen in the war, and we are not talking about specific features, but about the soul of the Ukrainian people,” said Dmitro SHVETS.
