29 May 2024 In the cultural life of Odessa, the idea has become important - a new museum “Territory of Memory” has been born, a cultural and historical location that is called upon to convey the truth about the atrocities of genocides, “committed to the world, completely or partly, nationally, ethnically, racially or religiously, and also allow us to discover the legacy of these terrible evils in all regions and on all continents.
Currently interactive the scope of creations behind the project Vitalina Verbovetskaya, Orini Babentsova and Arina Goncharova - students of the Odessa Academy of Life Sciences and Architecture, who became winners of the competition for museum design, which was held at their university in 2023 rock.
A special emotional atmosphere is created with the help of the distant lighting and reasonable planning of the museum, which includes a library and a discussion square. All this respects the respect of the teachers itself, where it is conveyed by the authors’ intentions. Multimedia digital technologies in the exhibition space of this compact museum are not just used as technical equipment, but are transformed into their own exhibits, which serve the open scenario of the exhibition, enhanced information content, communicativeness and attractiveness of the museum exhibition.
In the opinion of the first authors, this museum space is as close as possible to the new museum ideology, which views the museum as a sociocultural one The institute created will play a more active creative role in the marriage. Such a museum allows viewers to discover not only new knowledge, but also gives an aesthetically friendly sense of respect for history.
