10 June 2024 on the basis of the genocide museum “Territory of Memory” in Odessa, the final of the local project competition for high school students on the history and culture of the local area took place. Olena Buinevich, director of the Department of Education and Science of Odessa Municipality, gave a final word to the winners and participants of the Competition.
The national competition was held in two categories: “Military-Patriotic Project” and “The history and culture of a local place: the European civilizational world.”
At the finals, the students presented their project work. Among them is a study about the development of charity and philanthropy from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century in our locality, 9th grade students of Odessa Lyceum No. 92, the project “Personification of War: military volunteers, civilians - evidence of the work of the lyceum" to the team of students of the Odessa lyceum "Fontansky", projects of the Odessa lyceum No. 122 "Memorialization of the Holocaust in Odessa: principles and campaigns", Odessa Law Lyceum “The Palais Royal is the “royal palace” in the center of Odessa” and “Odessa is the pearl of cinematography” of the Odessa Lyceum No. 49.
The jury for the competition indicated the high level of recognition of the previous students. All successes and participants in the competition were awarded diplomas and certificates to the Department of Education and Science of Odessa Municipality, signs and prizes from partners in the competition.
