Dubossary. From the end of July 1941, the Romanian punitive detachment began to clear Bessarabia, Transnistria and southern Ukraine of Jews. Women, the elderly and children were driven to Dubossary. A ghetto was created in the city at a tobacco factory. Then the Nazis began the direct liquidation of the Roma and other nationalities. From September 12 to September 28, from 6 to 18.5 thousand people were shot, according to various estimates.
